French team continues to impress as singles competition reaches final day at European Championships
Day three of the ITTF European Para Table Tennis Championships 2023 in Sheffield signalled the arrival of the business end of the tournament as players competed in 114 matches for a place in tomorrow’s final day of singles when 22 men and women will be crowned the champion of Europe and secure a place at the Paris 2024 Paralympics.
The action saw a strong French team continue to impress as nine players made it through to the last day of competition in the singles tournament which will feature a host of semis and finals.
France’s total of nine men and women will be the highest contingent participating in the final day of singles. Other nations with widespread interest tomorrow include Germany, Ukraine and Poland with six players each and Turkey and Great Britain who both have five.
